Shelter Dog Needs Home

August 25, 2012

Dear Friends,

Ollie (Petraits attached) is a very handsome, bouncy, playful, fun and snugly, 18-month-old, 45-pound, male, fawn and white pit bull terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian.

Ollie is living in a foster home where he has proven well-behaved with other dogs, cats and even horses. He is housebroken and already crate-trained. He knows the commands sit and down, and takes treats nicely from your fingers. He gets along with dogs of all sizes from Chihuahuas to Great Pyrenees, and Cocker Spaniels to Golden Retrievers and from puppies to seniors. He also loves to play with squeaky toys and balls.

Ollie is no couch potato, so he’s looking for an active family or person who will enjoy his enthusiasm. He is great in the car and working on perfecting his leash manners. He’s even quiet enough to live in an apartment or condo. For now Ollie is safe in his foster home, cuddling in bed with his foster mom but he’s looking for a new family to share his tail wags and kisses with.

Ollie is very healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on preventative. His adoption fee of $225 benefits the rescued dogs of Safely Home Canine Rescue. To meet and possibly adopt Ollie, Please contact Angie at or 815-370-6397.
