Yorkshire Terriers-Working Class Origins

Yorkshire Terriers, working class origins, are one of the most popular dogs today. A lot about the little “Yorkie” is based on the fact that it was developed in England during the 1800s, specifically for small vermin hunting – a real working class dog. TESTIMONIALS: THE VERY BEST PITBULL IN CHICAGO

Black and White Pitbull Puppy Needs Home

Dear Friends of The Chicago Whisperer,

Rupert  is a playful, enthusiastic, energetic and happy, 18-month-old, 60-pound, male, black and white pit bull terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian.

Rupert was found as a stray in Gary, Indiana. He appears to enjoy the company of other dogs and his tail is always happily wagging. He has a healthy-looking glossy black coat with a white chest. He doesn’t have a speck of aggression, but he does jump up enthusiastically, so he’d be best in a home without small children … at least until he’s gotten some obedience and manners training.

Rupert is very healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm tested and on monthly preventative. To meet and possibly adopt Rupert, please contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net or 708-224-1900. His adoption fee of $200 benefits rescued dogs. He is currently living in a vet’s office on the Northwest side of Chicago and would love a family to call his own.

August 25, 2012

Dear Friends,

Ollie (Petraits attached) is a very handsome, bouncy, playful, fun and snugly, 18-month-old, 45-pound, male, fawn and white pit bull terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian.

Ollie is living in a foster home where he has proven well-behaved with other dogs, cats and even horses. He is housebroken and already crate-trained. He knows the commands sit and down, and takes treats nicely from your fingers. He gets along with dogs of all sizes from Chihuahuas to Great Pyrenees, and Cocker Spaniels to Golden Retrievers and from puppies to seniors. He also loves to play with squeaky toys and balls.

Ollie is no couch potato, so he’s looking for an active family or person who will enjoy his enthusiasm. He is great in the car and working on perfecting his leash manners. He’s even quiet enough to live in an apartment or condo. For now Ollie is safe in his foster home, cuddling in bed with his foster mom but he’s looking for a new family to share his tail wags and kisses with.

Ollie is very healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on preventative. His adoption fee of $225 benefits the rescued dogs of Safely Home Canine Rescue. To meet and possibly adopt Ollie, Please contact Angie at safelyhomecanine@yahoo.com or 815-370-6397.
