PAWS Tinley Park holds its major event for the season featuring demonstrations, a blessing of the pets, contests, bake sale, food, games and more. Admission to the event is free, though proceeds from the raffle and other contests will benefit the shelter.

This is a GREAT event!

I plan on being there with my fur babies!!

    Best Dressed Canines Parade on October 25
    On Saturday, October 25, from 10;00 AM to 12:30 PM, pampered pooches parade in costume for a fun afternoon at Navy Pier. Patch, the Navy Pier Pirate Dog, leads the canine parade down Dock Street. Entertainment includes Fun Dog Psychic Entertainment.

    Winners receive PETCO gift cards, Navy Fear tickets and Seadog Lake Cruise passes. The Grand winner will be awarded the title of honorary 2009 Seadog Cruise Mascot.

    Howl-O-Ween Adoption Event
    On October 26, from 10 am to 7 pm, 25 animal shelters, including the Anti Cruelty Society and members of the Chicago animal Shelter Alliance (CASA) will hold a huge adoption event, in a effort to find loving homes for cats and dogs. Howl-O-Ween Adoption Event is held at Festival Hall B, at the east end of Navy Pier. Pets are welcome.

    Chicagoween at Daley Plaza offers family friendly Halloween entertainment.
